Kintec are currently partnered with a multi-national corporation which provides consulting, engineering, and architecture services internationally, constructing a plant in Northern Sweden that will produce Green Steel – Green Steel production emits up to 95% less CO₂ compared with conventional steel production.
DESCRIPTION
We’re currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Stakeholder Manager to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and managing the expectations of individuals or groups who have an interest in or are affected by the Mini Mill project or by the customer organization. This involves understanding their needs, communicating project status and risks, and building positive relationships to ensure alignment and support for the project success.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, excels at building relationships, and can effectively manage diverse stakeholder expectations. He/She should also demonstrate experience in conflict resolution, negotiation, and strategic alignment of stakeholder groups, strong organizational skills, proactive problem-solving, and a deep understanding of project management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
By fulfilling these responsibilities, a stakeholder manager can contribute significantly to project success by fostering collaboration, managing expectations, and ensuring that all stakeholders are engaged and satisfied:

Identify stakeholders, determine who has an interest in the project, both internal and external.

Analyse stakeholder needs, understand their expectations, potential impact, and influence on the project.

Stakeholder mapping, visually represent the relationships between stakeholders and key criteria to prioritize engagement.

Develop communication plans, establish clear, regular, and tailored communication strategies for different stakeholders or groups.

Communicate effectively, share project progress, decisions, and relevant information in an accessible and transparent manner. Pay attention to stakeholder concerns, feedback, and suggestions, and proactively address any concerns or issues. Encourage all stakeholders to participate in decision-making processes when needed.

Build strong relationships, fostering trust and positive relationships with all stakeholders. Address disagreements and conflicts promptly and constructively and strive to meet stakeholder needs and expectations.

Cooperate with Risk Management Team by identifying potential risks associated with stakeholders and develop mitigation strategies.

Solicit feedback on the stakeholder management process and identify areas for improvement. Adjust stakeholder engagement strategies based on feedback and project needs.
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

BSc in Project/Program Management or similar having a background in fields like stakeholder engagement, community relations or public affairs

Previous work experience as a Stakeholder Manager or similar role. Required experience over 15 years.

Excellent communication skills, ability to clearly articulate project goals, manage expectations, and actively listen to stakeholders.

Strong interpersonal skills, building relationships nurturing connections with various stakeholders, both internal and external, understanding diverse perspectives, and empathizing with stakeholders for fostering positive relationships.

Conflict resolution and negotiation, able to mediate disagreements, find common ground, and negotiate solutions that align with project objectives.

Strategic Alignment, identifying and understanding the needs and interests of different stakeholder groups and strategically aligning them towards common project goals.

Regularly interacts with other project members or stakeholders, maintaining accurate records of stakeholder interactions, managing timelines, and ensuring follow-up on commitments

Proactive problem-solving, anticipating potential issues, developing solutions, and effectively addressing challenges that arise during stakeholder engagement.

Team spirit and good analytical skills.

A solid understanding of project management principles, including planning, execution, and monitoring, is necessary for effective stakeholder management.

Adaptability and flexibility, adjusting communication styles and strategies to suit different stakeholders and situations for navigating complex project dynamics

Willing to commute to the north of Sweden 3 weeks per month.

Experience in medium-large scale EPC/EPCM/PMC projects would be ideal

Fluent in English.
