Senior Project Engineer – Major Onshore Infrastructure Development
Location: Qatar
Start Date: ASAP Preferred
Contract Length: 36 Months
Working Pattern: 10 hours/day, 6 days/week (approx. 26 days/month)
Project Phase: Front-End Engineering Design (FEED), progressing into EPC and execution
Overview
Join a high-profile onshore infrastructure project supporting the expansion of a major energy facility in the region. This is a unique opportunity to be involved from FEED through to construction and handover, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and deliverables. You'll play a key role in reporting, integration, and managing the interface between technical and project management disciplines on one of the region’s flagship developments.
Key Responsibilities

Support the Senior Project Manager with reporting, presentation materials, and decision record tracking.

Coordinate across internal project functions to maintain alignment and collaboration.

Act as a central point for technical notes, position papers, and action tracking across FEED activities.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), exception reports, and project performance metrics.

Manage internal and external interface agreements, escalating underperformance where required.

Lead the coordination of change management and risk mitigation actions with relevant teams.

Ensure compliance with internal project management systems and manage PMS deliverable tracking.

Provide structured status updates on FEED progress, highlighting any delays or concerns.

Support upcoming project phases including procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.

Contribute to preparation of transition documentation for the next stage of project delivery.
Required Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any relevant discipline).

Minimum of 6 years’ experience in FEED/project execution roles within the oil and gas sector.

Strong knowledge of engineering coordination, project reporting, planning, and stakeholder management.

Familiarity with brownfield scopes involving marine civil works such as dredging and tunnelling.

Previous experience working on major projects in the Middle East is highly desirable.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management systems.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to manage cross-functional alignment.
