Job Title: Sr. Principal Engineer (Process)

Location: Doha, Qatar

Primary Purpose of the Job:

1. Monitor, analyze, and benchmark operational performance of PSA and JV Operators of GTL assets to identify deficiencies and influence implementation of actions to improve product yields, energy efficiency, cost, and facility integrity, reliability, and availability.
2. Support Asset Manager in daily governance and decision-making. Drive asset management strategy through data analysis and stakeholder engagement.

    

Principal Accountabilities:

1. Apply Asset Management framework to GTL JV and DPSA assets and support asset manager.
2. Support development of long-term strategy and yearly influencing plans aligned with asset strategy.
3. Engage OpCo to identify/implement initiatives to improve performance and mitigate risks.
4. Analyze annual Work Program & Budget (WP&B) and drive cost optimization.
5. Benchmark operational performance and identify improvement areas.
6. Drive climate strategy and sustainability goals.
7. Promote and implement HSSE improvements.
8. Influence sustainable operational excellence strategy for integrity and reliability.
9. Evaluate OpCo proposals for scope, cost, and schedule competitiveness.
10. Review board resolutions and provide recommendations; participate in JV sub-committees.
11. Lead continuous improvement and transfer of lessons learned; develop asset management standards.
12. Mentor Qatari engineers and junior staff to support career development and Qatarization.
13. Lead audits of energy and mass balance reporting for compliance.
14. Analyze test-run and historical performance to support projects, KPIs, and WP&B targets.

     

Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills / Experience:

1. B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering (Higher qualification preferred).
2. Minimum 18 years in Oil & Gas/Downstream industry, including 7+ years in GTL operations.
3. Deep expertise in process design, integration, safety, and operations support.
4. Proficiency in applying relevant engineering standards and codes.
5. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
6. Strong communication, presentation, and coaching skills; fluent in English.
