Overview

A well-established commercial construction contractor is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to lead field operations across roofing, waterproofing, and exterior envelope projects in the New York area.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives on site, understands the pace of commercial builds, and takes pride in delivering safe, high-quality work. You will act as the key link between project management and field teams, ensuring smooth coordination, programme adherence, and strong safety performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily on-site construction activities and direct field personnel

• Coordinate subcontractors and multiple trades to maintain workflow and productivity

• Enforce site safety standards in line with OSHA and company policies

• Carry out routine site inspections to ensure quality and compliance

• Monitor project schedules and report progress to the Project Manager

• Identify and resolve site issues quickly and effectively

• Oversee material deliveries and equipment allocation

• Ensure all work aligns with approved drawings and technical specifications

• Maintain accurate site documentation including daily reports and safety records

• Liaise with clients, inspectors, and local authorities as required

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience supervising commercial construction projects

• Strong background in roofing, waterproofing, facade, or building envelope systems preferred

• Working knowledge of New York City construction regulations beneficial

• OSHA certification required, 30-hour preferred

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple trades in active environments
