JOB DESCRIPTION
Site Electrical & Instrumentation Inspector
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspection of Electrical & Instrumentation installations as per ITP/ITR requirements
- Review contractor ITPs, procedures, and documents
- Sign off on ITRs, using completions software
- Compile, manage, and sign off test packs
- Assist site quality with relevant reporting to project/management
- Participate in site meetings (internal and contractor)
- Adhere to EH&S requirements and any site policy and restrictions at all times
- Manage and issue punch-lists, non-conformances, and drive corrective actions
- Proactively foresee impediments, notifying site management and suggesting solutions
- Create daily/weekly site reports
- Accompany walk down of site systems
- Manage punch-list and NCR resolution with site contractors
- Assist commissioning teams for closure of punch-points when required
- Witness Site Acceptance Tests
Other Requirements:
- Assist in development and implementation of quality control procedures
- Participate in project meetings and provide input on quality issues
- Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in instrumentation and electrical technology
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in reading and interpreting drawings, site maps, and blueprints
- Knowledge of industry regulations and safety standards
- Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
- Proficient in using inspection tools and equipment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in various environments, including construction sites
- Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development
- Ability to refer to, interpret, and advise on implementation of E&I equipment supplier's instruction manuals
Education / Trainings:
- Primary education with a degree in Electrical or Instrumentation background
- Trained & certified to the relevant level of ATEX
Experience:
- Significant experience in similar roles
- Experience working in the oil and gas industry on onshore plants
- Proven experience as a Quality Control Inspector at sites
