Job Title: Simulator Instructor
Location: Onshore, Ras Laffan / Doha HQ, Qatar
Contract Type: Call-Off Order via new framework agreement
Contract Duration: Two-year initial contract, extendable
Work Schedule: 8–10 hours per day, Sunday to Thursday; 12 weeks on / 2 weeks off (Single Status); 30 days annual leave (Couple Status)

Overview
A leading energy operator is seeking a Simulator Instructor to design, develop, and deliver competency-based technical training programmes. The role involves developing simulation-based training, conducting assessments, and supporting workforce competency initiatives within a multi-national environment.
Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deliver advanced training using simulations, role plays, and technology-based learning

Analyse skill gaps and align on-the-job training (OJT) programmes with operational requirements

Develop simulator-based training materials and assessments; evaluate trainee performance and prepare progress reports

Create and maintain process and technical training materials, including procedure competency assessments

Recommend learning solutions, develop course curricula, and adjust content based on trainee feedback

Develop operational process scenarios and instructional materials, using simulation and media tools effectively

Collaborate with Simulator Engineers and Training Coordinators to maintain simulator hardware and software

Maintain trainee records, attendance, and assessment results in the Learning Management System (LMS)

Ensure operational and process safety standards are followed

Contribute to continuous improvement of training quality and effectiveness

Support workforce nationalisation programmes through coaching and knowledge transfer

Ensure adherence to company governance, competition, and compliance policies
Qualifications and Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent
-
Minimum 6 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, including at least 3 years in a training/instructor role

Strong knowledge of plant processes, production equipment, and Distributed Control Systems (DCS)

Experience in operations, maintenance, and procedure development

Excellent organisational, communication, and presentation skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS)

Proven ability to conduct engaging and effective training sessions
