Job Title: Shutdown Coordinator

Job Summary:
A leading energy company is seeking a Shutdown Coordinator to manage and oversee field activities during planned shutdowns. The role ensures all activities are executed safely, efficiently, and according to shutdown plans while coordinating with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate all phases of shutdown activities, defining work scope, resource requirements, and manpower allocation.

Support maintenance contracting strategies by performing pre-bid job walks, clarifying scope, and addressing contractor logistics.

Monitor and report schedule progress, conduct field audits, and resolve logistical issues.

Develop work packs for assigned areas supporting the overall shutdown plan.

Review planned work orders prior to execution to ensure correctness and relevance.

Participate in Risk-Based Work Selection (RBWS), Lean thinking sessions, and job clash/SIMOPS reviews.

Support resource levelling, crane mapping, and spare parts requirements for assigned activities.

Coordinate procedures and safety instructions to ensure safe execution.

Supervise contractors, prioritize work, monitor progress, and report to Execution Lead.

Manage pre- and post-shutdown mobilisation/demobilisation activities, including material return and closeout reports.
Qualifications & Experience:

Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum 8 years’ field experience in the oil & gas or petrochemical industry.

Good knowledge of equipment and maintenance procedures for utilities and process systems in hydrocarbon plants.

Experience using maintenance management systems such as SAP (PM & MM modules).
