Job Title: Senior Technical HSE Engineer

Job Purpose
The Senior Technical HSE Engineer will provide expert support in safety and risk management for operational assets. The role involves assessing operational risks, implementing process safety and risk management programmes, and ensuring compliance with organisational and industry safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safety and risk engineering support across operational departments.
- Participate in the assessment and evaluation of operational risks for existing and new installations.
- Support the development and implementation of process safety and risk management programmes.
- Conduct risk management studies including Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA), Hazard Identification (HAZID), Hazard and Operability studies (HAZOP), Bow Tie Analysis, and Operational Risk Assessment (ORA).
- Contribute to continuous improvement of HSE systems, processes, and procedures.
- Support audits, inspections, and risk assessments in compliance with international safety standards.
- Prepare reports and documentation relating to risk management, process safety, and HSE performance.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science. Postgraduate degree or professional certification in HSE/Safety Engineering preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of total experience, preferably in multinational or oil & gas organisations, including offshore exposure.
- At least 5 years' experience in HSE risk management, loss prevention, or safety engineering roles.
- Experience in a supervisory, managerial, consultancy, or auditor role in HSE is an advantage.
- Certified Lead Auditor (IRCA or equivalent) is a plus.
- Excellent written and spoken English; Arabic is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills and high degree of computer literacy.
