Job Summary
The Senior Supply Chain Director in the Business Unit is responsible for creating and executing a strategic planfor supply chain and material management, covering the procurement of both direct and indirect goods andservices. This role includes managing the development and continuous improvement of supply chain policiesand procedures, and establishing a centralized program to enhance the organization's value and efficiency. Thedirector will have operational responsibility for developing and implementing policies, procedures, and systemsthat support the company's procurement and materials management activities.
Job Responsibilities 1
- Develop and communicate an efficient supply chain business plan within the business unit to establish,communicate and implement long-term goals in order to promote effectiveness and efficiency.
- Ensure the business unit's inventories are optimal by maximizing the production and marketing of the productsas planned.
- Serve as the primary contact for the busines sunit's supply chain related questions, training, policy andprocedure interpretation and alignment by all departments.
- Oversee contract development and administration within the assigned business unit.
- Manage current policies, procedures and programs with a focus on their ability to enhance organizational valueand efficiency; meet regularly with respective departments regarding procurement for their understanding and/orrecommendations to enhance policies, procedures and develop, communicate and implement new/revisedpolicies, procedures and programs as needed.
- Develop a centralized program that adds value and efficiency to the business unit.
- Ensure the proper and efficient processing of all purchase orders; development of bids and proposals andmanage any reconciliation of any invoice discrepancies.
Job Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in supply chain management principles, including demand planning, inventory optimization, andlogistics operations, to develop and implement strategic supply chain initiatives.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities to lead cross-functional supply chain teams, delegateresponsibilities, and drive operational excellence.
- Advanced analytical skills to analyze supply chain data, identify trends, and make informed decisions tooptimize supply chain performance and mitigate risks.
- Experience in implementing supply chain technologies and systems to streamline processes, enhance visibility,and improve efficiency across the supply chain.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, buildstrong relationships, and drive alignment towards common supply chain goals and objectives.
- ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
Job Experience
- Minimum 15 year(s) working experience, 10 year(s) in a relevant management/leadership position, 5 year (s)GCC is a plus
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Commerce
- Professional Qualification in any related field or Material Management
