Senior Structural Engineer

Working Location: Malaysia

Key Responsibilities:

- Act as Lead, Sub-lead, or Senior Engineer in project execution, taking ownership of specific tasks within projects.

- Hold technical responsibility for material requisitions and perform detailed design calculations.

- Coordinate with other disciplines and forecast material take-offs (MTOs) for design areas.

- Review vendor documents and ensure technical compliance with contractual specifications.

- Interpret third-party reports (geotechnical, bathymetric survey, metocean data) for incorporation into structural design basis.

- Ensure engineering designs meet relevant codes, project performance targets, and are delivered on time.

- Prepare, update, and check calculations for detailed engineering deliverables.

- Propose value engineering solutions to optimize material quantities.

- Ensure suppliers adhere to committed manhours and budget requirements.

- Provide timely reporting on engineering and requisitioning activities.

- Meet project quality objectives and interface with other discipline engineers, procurement, planning, and support functions.

- Mentor and guide junior engineers within the team.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 7 years' experience in design and execution of offshore facilities projects.

- Minimum CGPA of 3.5 or 2nd Class Upper.

- Advanced user of SACS engineering software.

- Frequent user of USFOS and GRLWEAP.

- In-depth knowledge of substructure and topsides in-service analyses (static in-place, dynamic in-place, spectral fatigue).

- Strong experience in pre-service analyses (lifting, load-out, on-bottom, pile drivability analyses).

Desirable:

- Frequent user of SESAM, Abaqus, or Ansys.

- Experience with seismic analysis (ELE and ALE), blast and fire structural collapse analysis, vibration analysis, and wind fatigue analysis.
