Senior Structural Engineer
Location: Perth, Western Australia
Contract Type: 12 months
About the Role
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will work on high-profile offshore brownfield projects, covering all phases from concept and feasibility through detailed engineering to installation. This is a contractor position based in Perth.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis (integrity and fitness-for-service) and steel structural design.
- Develop engineering deliverables and work closely with structural designers to produce detailed drawings.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project execution.
- Manage schedule and deliver assigned scope on time and within budget.
- Provide site engineering supervision and technical support during manufacturing, fabrication, and installation as required.
Key Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering (minimum requirement).
- At least 10 years' experience in offshore structural analysis and design, including brownfield modifications and fitness-for-service assessments.
- Expertise in steel structural design, especially bolted connection details.
- Familiarity with international and Australian design codes and standards (API, ISO, AISC, DNV).
- Proficiency with essential software: Space Gass, SACS, Mathcad, Navisworks.
- Preferred experience with Sesam/GeniE, Usfos, AutoCAD/BrisCAD, coding, and FEA analysis.
- Strong written English skills for technical report writing.
