Senior Site Contracts Administrator / Quantity Surveyor

Location: Karratha, site-based
Contract: 6 months | FIFO 2:1 roster
Hours: 10.5 hr/day + 30 min unpaid break
Start Date: ASAP

Role Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Site Contracts Administrator (or Quantity Surveyor) to join our client. This is a stand-alone, site-based role working closely with the Project Director, PM, and Site Manager, with support from the Senior Contracts Specialist in Perth. The successful candidate will manage all site-related contract and commercial aspects of the project, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, accurate reporting, and effective stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance on contract obligations and preserve company rights on-site

  • Ensure all project staff comply with contract requirements and deadlines

  • Identify, record, and report all relevant site events, issues, changes, and deviations

  • Maintain on-site change log and liaise with Project Manager/Contracts Manager for compliance

  • Prepare daily and weekly contractual and commercial reports

  • Assist with management and tracking of project expenditures and cost forecasting

  • Liaise with consortium partner’s commercial team and resolve on-site commercial issues

  • Support preparation and resolution of claims and variations, including quantifying delay impacts

  • Prepare progress claims in conjunction with PMT/Cost Controller

  • Pursue commercial opportunities to reduce project cost, maximise efficiencies, and improve margins

  • Issue site instructions, RFQs, variations, and other contractual notices as required

  • Support subcontractor and supplier management, including negotiation and dispute resolution

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or related discipline

  • 5+ years’ experience as a senior contracts administrator in resources, construction, or energy sectors

  • Strong knowledge of Australian construction contracts and industry-standard commercial practices

  • Proven experience managing contractual and commercial aspects of major projects
