Senior Safety Engineer – Hybrid – Hampshire UK

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Safety Engineer to join a respected consultancy delivering energy projects across carbon capture, hydrogen, renewables, and traditional oil and gas sectors. This role offers the chance to shape safety design and assurance for both onshore and offshore projects while enjoying flexible hybrid working.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare project safety deliverables such as HSE plans, HSE philosophies, and terms of reference for safety reviews.

Participate in and facilitate safety workshops including HAZID, ENVID, HAZOP, and SIL assessments.

Manage safety-related actions and ensure timely completion.

Interface with clients and liaise with stakeholders and third parties as required.

Act as Project Discipline Lead on UK-based projects, ensuring on-time and high-quality delivery of safety engineering outputs.
Requirements

Degree in engineering or a related discipline.

Experience in all major project phases including concept, FEED, and detailed design.

Background in both onshore and offshore oil and gas projects.

Proven experience producing and managing safety deliverables.

Strong knowledge of safety workshop processes and relevant regulations.

Excellent communication skills and proven client-facing experience.

Ability to lead discipline activities and ensure deliverables meet project schedules.
