Reservoir Engineer – Oil & Gas

Location: Oman

We are seeking a highly skilled Reservoir Engineer with a strong technical background and a passion for reservoir management and simulation. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team responsible for optimising reservoir performance and supporting field development planning within a high-profile oil and gas operation.

This role requires hands-on experience with industry-standard software, solid analytical capabilities, and a collaborative mindset to work across functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct reservoir engineering studies, including material balance, decline curve analysis, and reservoir simulation.

  • Collaborate with geologists, production engineers, and other stakeholders to support reservoir development and management strategies.

  • Utilise reservoir simulation tools to forecast production and guide decision-making.

  • Evaluate well performance and provide recommendations on completion and stimulation techniques.

  • Contribute to reserves estimation and reporting in line with accepted standards.

  • Monitor and analyse production data to support ongoing field development.

  • Provide technical input into reservoir management plans and assist with the design of surveillance programmes.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Reservoir Engineering within the Oil & Gas industry.

  • Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Kappa Saphire, OFM, Eclipse.

  • Strong understanding of reservoir management principles and simulation techniques.

  • Solid grasp of production operations and well completion procedures.

  • Experience working within a multidisciplinary technical team.

  • Exposure to tight gas reservoirs is a distinct advantage.

  • Effective communication skills and a collaborative working style.
