Senior Project Manager - Securing (Onshore Wind & Solar)

Position Overview
The Senior Securing Project Manager will lead greenfield and early-stage securing activities for onshore wind, solar and AgriPV projects in France.
You will be the main point of contact on the ground for a portfolio of territories, responsible for:
- building and maintaining relationships with municipalities, landowners and farmers,
- securing land access and agreements, and
- preparing projects so they can be handed over to the permitting team.
You'll work in an agile, entrepreneurial environment, backed by a well-funded international group.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out prospecting and outreach with municipalities and local authorities to obtain political and administrative support for new renewable projects.
- Conduct field-based prospecting with farmers and landowners to secure land access (options, leases, agreements) for wind, solar and AgriPV projects.
- Act as the local face of the project with key stakeholders: elected officials, landowners, farmers, local businesses, associations, residents, etc.
- Identify constraints and opportunities early in the project (grid access, environmental constraints, landscape, coactivities, planning issues).
- Assess the technical and planning feasibility of potential sites in collaboration with internal teams (GIS, grid, environment, agriculture, permitting, legal).
- Define and shape territorial project concepts, then prepare a smooth handover to the permitting / development teams.
- Coordinate with internal teams and produce regular reporting on your pipeline, meetings and deal status.
- Support, coach and mentor more junior securing staff on approach, messaging and territory management.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of securing/origination tools, scripts and processes as the portfolio grows.
Required Experience & Skills
- 5+ years' experience in prospecting / land securing for renewable energy projects in France (onshore wind and/or ground-mounted solar).
- Strong commercial / hunter mindset with excellent interpersonal skills; able to build trust quickly with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Fluent French (native or equivalent) and solid understanding of agricultural stakeholders and rural dynamics in France.
- Proven ability to manage multiple territories / projects in parallel at different stages of maturity.
- Track record of working to clear objectives and deadlines, with structured follow-up and CRM/Excel reporting.
- Team player with the ability and desire to support junior colleagues.
- High level of autonomy, resilience and persistence.
- Driving licence and willingness to travel extensively within France.
