SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER - ONSHORE

An international engineering organization is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to support the delivery of complex onshore oil and gas projects. The role involves coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams and supporting the planning and execution of major engineering studies and project phases.
The successful candidate will play a key role during early project development stages, ensuring engineering deliverables are aligned with project objectives, schedules, and industry standards.
Responsibilities

Coordinate engineering activities across multiple technical disciplines during project execution

Support the planning and management of engineering deliverables throughout project phases

Ensure engineering work is aligned with project specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards

Facilitate collaboration between engineering teams, project management, and external stakeholders

Support interface management between engineering teams and external authorities

Provide technical guidance to multidisciplinary engineering teams

Monitor engineering progress and identify potential risks or delays

Contribute to engineering planning and scheduling activities during early project phases

Support the development and review of engineering documentation and deliverables

Assist project leadership in ensuring effective communication across project stakeholders
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university

Minimum 15 years of experience within the oil and gas industry in engineering roles

Proven experience working as a Senior Project Engineer on onshore oil and gas projects

Strong experience working in brownfield project environments

Mandatory experience supporting Pre-FEED and FEED project phases

Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams

Well-developed engineering planning and project coordination skills

Experience working with international engineering consultancies or project organizations

Experience managing interfaces with statutory authorities and external stakeholders

Experience working on projects within the Middle East is preferred

Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills

Ability to work effectively within international and multicultural project teams
