Position Title: Senior Project Engineer - Offshore EPIC
Locations: Qatar / China
Position Overview:
The Senior Project Engineer provides project engineering and management for Process Platforms/Facilities within the BH Redevelopment Project, ensuring compliance with Project Management Framework. The role leads and coordinates multidisciplinary teams to deliver offshore EPIC projects, including jackets, topsides, bridges, and appurtenances, from planning through execution and handover.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering; higher degree advantageous
- Membership in a recognized professional engineering or project management institution is preferred
Minimum Experience:
- 12+ years of experience in engineering, project management, and execution of major EPIC offshore oil & gas projects
- Specific experience in Process/Gas Compression Platforms involving jackets, topsides, bridges, and appurtenances
- Strong communication skills, including presentations, report writing, and meetings management
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate project teams to execute offshore Process Platforms/Facilities of the BH Redevelopment Project
- Prepare and implement Project Execution Plans
- Participate in planning, cost control, budgeting, contract administration, progress reporting, change management, and stage gate approvals
- Manage multidisciplinary engineers to ensure timely review of deliverables and resolution of technical/engineering issues
- Prepare scope of work, tender packages, evaluate tenders, and provide recommendations to Tender Committees
- Monitor EPIC contractor and vendor performance and quality, taking remedial actions as needed
- Contribute to risk management by identifying, mitigating, and tracking project risks and issues
- Facilitate interface management between EPIC contractors and project stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards/regulations and Project Quality Standards in coordination with QHSE engineers
- Assess and review contractor claims, final accounts, and variations, recommending settlements as needed
- Ensure timely project handover, including completion certificates, punch list close-out, SPIR approvals, and SAP-CMMS updates
- Support project close-out and reporting for internal stakeholders
- Mentor Qatari Associates, providing on-the-job training to develop skills and competencies
