Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Senior Project Cost Controller to join our Finance General Division in Croatia. In this role, you will oversee project setup, budgeting, forecasting, revenue recognition, variance analysis, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate closely with Project Managers and act as the Finance Representative on project teams.

- Monitor project budgets and report on their financial performance and progress.

- Review all costs to date and accrued commitments monthly to ensure accuracy and completeness.

- Prepare revenue projections and forecast overhead expenditure as needed.

- Assist the Country Finance Manager and Controllers in preparing and monitoring budgets.

- Update all actual project costs incurred, and provide monthly rolling forecasts with variance analysis.

- Manage project cash flow and ensure accurate cash flow forecasting.

- Prepare payments for vendors in collaboration with Project Managers.

- Submit weekly/monthly project progress reports, financial dashboards, and other required documents.

- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.

- Support the Country Finance Manager with annual audit activities.

- Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and non-compliance issues.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance.

- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the Renewables and/or Construction industry (EPC).

- Experience in financial reporting under IFRS and familiarity with key accounting judgments for engineering services businesses, including long-term project accounting.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Advanced stakeholder management skills.

- Excellent command of the English language.

- Strong critical and analytical thinking, paired with a can-do attitude.
