Senior Production Manager – Multi-Site (Remote / UK)
Location: Home-based (Manchester, Sheffield, London, Bristol, Crawley, Hull, Liverpool)

About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Production Manager to lead operations across six sites, overseeing a workforce of approximately 230 staff in the chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, LNG, LPG, and terminal COMAH sectors. This is a home-based role with responsibility for multiple UK sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead multi-site operations, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer requirements.

  • Guarantee all site activities are performed safely, effectively, and in full compliance with HSE, COMAH, COSHH, ISO, and other regulatory standards.

  • Drive a proactive safety culture with zero lost-time accidents, engaging with Branch Safety Committees and implementing loss control programs.

  • Maintain rigorous quality standards for cylinders and products, ensuring ISO 9001 and Gas Standards compliance.

  • Plan, direct, and oversee maintenance activities to ensure facilities meet output and quality targets safely and within budget.

  • Lead operational improvement initiatives, driving continuous improvement, productivity savings, and total cash fixed cost efficiency.

  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Healthcare teams to ensure customer service levels meet or exceed expectations.

  • Develop and implement employee engagement strategies, fostering a motivated, inclusive, and high-performing workforce.

  • Manage operational budgets, track monthly performance, and ensure asset management and documentation are accurate and up-to-date.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Engineering, Science, or equivalent HNC/HND.

  • NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent.

  • Strong knowledge of the UK compressed and liquefiable gases market, engineering principles, gas production technologies, and pressure systems.

  • Experience with regulatory compliance including MHRA, PSSR, COMAH, HAZOP, and ISO standards.

  • Proven transformational leader with experience in unionized environments, talent development, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Strong financial acumen, with experience in cost control and CAPEX management.

  • Track record of implementing lean practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Excellent communication, resilience under pressure, and the ability to align stakeholders with strategic goals.
