Position Title: Senior Process Safety & Risk Engineer
Location: Ras Laffan / Doha HQ, Qatar
Contract: Two-year initial contract via Call-Off Order (MFA), with potential extension
Work Schedule: 8–10 hours/day, Sunday–Thursday | 12 weeks ON / 2 weeks OFF (Single Status), 30 days annual leave (Couple Status)

About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Process Safety & Risk Engineer to lead and implement process safety, loss prevention, and risk engineering initiatives across onshore LNG assets and associated projects. This role provides technical oversight, facilitates risk assessments, and ensures compliance with relevant standards while supporting both operational and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy and implement company process safety, loss prevention, and risk management objectives across assigned assets.

  • Provide process safety and risk engineering input to engineering documents, project deliverables, and interface documents.

  • Facilitate hazard identification (HAZID) and risk assessment studies, including QRA, HAZOP, SIL baseline/revalidation.

  • Implement loss prevention engineering procedures and maintain safety barriers via Safety Case and Barrier Management processes.

  • Review and provide technical input on Management of Change (MOC) requests to maintain plant integrity and safety.

  • Monitor process safety performance indicators, analyse trends, and recommend corrective actions.

  • Represent Process Safety & Risk Engineering in projects, design reviews, and technical studies.

  • Support the administration and sustainability of L3 Manage Operations Risk (MOR) and L3 Ensure Process Safety processes.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Safety, or related field).

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in the oil and gas sector in process safety, loss prevention, or risk management.

  • Proven experience in leading hazard identification and risk assessment studies using recognized techniques (HAZOP, What-If, etc.).

  • Familiarity with EPC, commissioning, and startup phases is advantageous.

  • Practical knowledge of safe systems of work and emergency preparedness.

Technical and Business Skills

  • Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written English communication.

  • Computer literate with proficiency in relevant safety and risk software.

  • Ability to work independently across multiple locations and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
