Role: Senior Process Engineer
Location: Basingstoke, UK
Duration: 12 Month Contract (Annually Renewable)
Work Style: Hybrid working with up to 60 percent remote working
Description of Project/Role and Main Responsibilities
A Senior Process Engineer is required to contribute to a diverse range of projects, supporting the Project Discipline Lead Engineer on large-scale assignments or acting as the Project Discipline Lead Engineer on smaller projects. Projects span from Feasibility phase through Basic Design and FEED, focusing on both onshore and offshore oil and gas production facilities, with a particular emphasis on LNG and renewables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering specific scopes of work autonomously.
- Debottlenecking existing facilities and coordinating the production of multidiscipline reports.
- Producing and checking standard process engineering deliverables according to company and international standards.
- Following up on contractor activities, including reviewing contractor documentation such as P&IDs, datasheets, and Design Basis documents to ensure alignment with specifications.
- Liaising on technical activities with team members across multiple geographical locations.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed for project review activities.
Requirements:
- Master's degree (or equivalent) in Chemical Engineering.
- Certification by a professional institute; Chartered Engineer status with the Institute of Chemical Engineers is preferred.
- Experience working on or monitoring FEED and EPC projects for oil and gas processing facilities.
- Demonstrated high level of technical autonomy.
- Driven and capable of working independently on assigned tasks.
- Experience using HYSYS simulation is advantageous.
- Experience across all project phases from Feasibility, Basic Design, FEED to Detailed Design and Construction is preferred.
- Expertise in CCUS, LNG, or Offshore technologies is desirable.
- Familiarity with specific industry tools and standards would be an advantage.
