Job Title: Senior Prevention Advisor
Location: Hoboken, Belgium
Assignment Type: Contract until 30th September 2025 (Potential to extend)
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
Start Date: ASAP (Ideally with no extended summer leave planned)

We are supporting a global leader in advanced materials and manufacturing in their search for a Health & Safety professional to join their site operations in Hoboken. This is a critical role with a strong focus on safety performance, environmental compliance, and health-related initiatives within an industrial setting.

Scope of the Role:
The role covers all aspects of Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS), with a specific emphasis on safety. The successful candidate will provide operational guidance, lead safety initiatives, conduct inspections, and help foster a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and support incident investigations, ensuring thorough root cause analysis and implementation of preventive actions

  • Assist in internal audits and compliance activities

  • Analyse workplace exposure data (e.g. dust peaks), report findings, and suggest and monitor preventive measures

  • Perform on-site inspections and guide staff on best practices in safety, PPE usage, and work methods

  • Develop and deliver EHS training programmes based on identified gaps, and evaluate their effectiveness

  • Carry out control rounds for compliance with chemical labelling (CLP regulations)

  • Participate in the Management of Change (MOC) process, offering a critical external viewpoint

  • Ensure sustainable implementation of safety, environmental, and health initiatives

  • Act as a trusted advisor to staff and management on EHS issues

  • Attend and contribute to safety meetings and toolbox talks

Requirements:

Technical Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Integrated Safety or certified Prevention Advisor Level 2

  • Previous experience in safety and health policy, ideally in an industrial or manufacturing environment

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Capable of developing and delivering safety training sessions in a clear and engaging manner

  • Fluent in Dutch
