Senior Planning Engineer - Oil & Gas

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to support offshore structural fabrication and EPC projects within the Oil & Gas sector. The ideal candidate will have extensive Gulf experience and a strong mechanical engineering background, with proven expertise in project planning, scheduling, and cost control across complex fabrication projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project planning, scheduling, and cost control for offshore structural fabrication and EPC projects.
- Manage project schedules, including critical path analysis, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and analyse project cash flow, invoicing, cost reports, and Earned Value Analysis.
- Monitor productivity measurements and provide recommendations for efficiency improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate schedule risks and delays.
- Support multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
- Utilise project management software and tools such as Primavera P6 and SAP.
- Prepare and analyse forecasts, budget estimations, and EOT (Extension of Time) claims.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 10-15 years of overall experience, with significant Gulf experience.
- Proven experience in offshore structural fabrication projects, including Jacket, Topside, Offshore Brownfield items, and Riser Stalk-Ons.
- Strong analytical skills for project planning, cost estimation, and reporting.
- Familiarity with project management and scheduling tools (Primavera P6, SAP).
- Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
