Senior Planning Engineer
Location: Doha, Qatar
Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Planning Engineer with over 12 years of experience in planning and scheduling large-scale onshore EPC projects. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Primavera P6, possess strong analytical and reporting skills, and be capable of managing multiple project timelines in coordination with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project scope and develop detailed and high-level project schedules
- Prepare resource histograms, manpower utilization plans, and progress S-curves using Primavera P6
- Liaise with all project stakeholders to gather progress updates and incorporate into schedules
- Coordinate with quantity surveyors and planning teams to align deliverables with overall project goals
- Perform weekly productivity analysis and generate dashboards
- Provide accurate and timely progress reports for internal stakeholders and the Main Contractor
- Monitor critical path activities and flag potential schedule risks to Project Control Manager
- Support in updating and maintaining baselines, forecasts, and recovery plans when required
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred or related discipline)
- 12+ years of planning experience in onshore EPC projects
- Expertise in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Strong understanding of construction workflows and planning methodologies
- Proven experience in project controls, reporting, and productivity analysis
- Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
