Job Title: Senior Planner (Assets)

Job Summary:
A leading energy company is seeking a Senior Planner to coordinate the planning and scheduling of maintenance activities for onshore assets. The role focuses on facilitating emergency outages, major complex jobs, overhauls, and shutdowns to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop annual work plans, major jobs lists, and integrated schedules using planning software (e.g., Primavera).

Ensure compliance with shutdown management systems and gated processes.

Review resource availability and adjust preventive maintenance schedules to accommodate new assets.

Prepare daily work orders for major maintenance and emergency outage activities.

Coordinate interfaces between Operations, Maintenance, Planning, Scheduling, and Shutdown teams.

Support troubleshooting, opportunity work planning, and progress reporting for emergency outages.

Assist in external contracting strategies and liaise with vendors, OEMs, and contractors.

Monitor and report daily progress of maintenance activities to ensure alignment with overall asset reliability targets.
Qualifications & Experience:

Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum 8 years’ experience in maintenance planning or scheduling within the oil & gas or petrochemical industry.
Key Skills & Attributes:

Fluent in written and spoken English.

Proficient with MS Office and project planning/scheduling software.

Strong planning, organizing, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and coordinate across multiple stakeholders.

Knowledge of maintenance procedures, emergency outage management, and asset reliability.
