Job Purpose
- Provide technical expertise in subsea Pipelines Integrity Management (PIMS) engineering.
- Develop, implement, and improve PIMS processes to ensure Qatargas-operated subsea pipelines are efficiently monitored and controlled.
- Maintain the highest levels of integrity, environmental compliance, personnel safety, and process safety while supporting production objectives.
Key Job Accountabilities
- Assess and support PIMS programs to ensure company-wide compliance and consistency with policies, practices, and procedures; implement and steward PIMS programs and cost-effective tools.
- Develop and maintain PIMS documentation, including procedures, equipment strategies, SOWs for inspection and integrity management plans, anomaly databases, KPI reports, and annual integrity reports.
- Keep stakeholders informed, capture requirements, obtain approvals, and participate in cross-asset reviews to ensure consistent PIMS documentation across Qatargas.
- Conduct PIMS monitoring, investigations, and prevention activities; support offshore operations in executing planned inspection campaigns (UWI & ILI) and maintain inspection data.
- Review and analyze inspection and integrity reports (underwater, topside, onshore, smart pigging) and failure investigations; provide recommendations to restore functionality, improve performance, and extend operating life.
- Develop asset-related PIMS risk assessment results, prepare management review data, perform risk analyses, and initiate improvements to PIMS risk assessment processes.
- Ensure all PIMS engineering contracts are current and administrative activities are managed timely per company governance and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company-approved policies and procedures, and support pipeline system audits.
- Develop, review, and monitor asset-related annual budgets; participate in SPI overall budget reviews for alignment.
- Identify, evaluate, and implement new technologies; support strategic technical innovation and provide expertise in subsea pipelines PIMS; review design requirements of new projects and modifications with recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Science in Mechanical, Chemical, or Materials.
Knowledge and/or Experience
- Minimum 6 years' experience in subsea gas pipelines integrity activities.
- Experience in subsea pipelines integrity management including underwater inspections and smart pigging.
- Competent in PIMS, risk-based inspection, corrosion management, damage mechanisms, NDT techniques, and RCFA for upstream pipelines in sour service.
- Familiar with international standards (ASME, API, NACE, DNV) in pipeline integrity management.
- Knowledge in subsea pipeline integrity management tools and inspection data software (e.g., GIS, PVI).
