Position Title: Senior Pipeline Engineer
Location: Doha, Qatar
Position Description
The Senior Pipeline Engineer is responsible for leading smaller projects, managing all discipline technical and scheduling matters pertaining to assigned projects, and providing technical guidance to less experienced personnel as required. The role reports to the Chief Pipeline Engineer and involves minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Lead Pipeline Engineer on smaller projects
- Independently prepare or review discipline project specifications
- Independently prepare technical bid evaluations for equipment, materials, bulk material, and subcontracts in coordination with the Procurement Department
- Review and approve vendor drawings
- Perform typical pipeline engineering calculations independently
- Independently prepare requisitions for inquiry in support of purchasing equipment and materials
- Prepare pipe tally and communicate design changes internally
Qualifications
- Typically, a minimum of 10 years of experience in pipeline engineering, pipeline operations, or pipeline construction
- Familiarity with all relevant codes and regulations
- Familiarity with industry practices and permitting requirements for pipeline design and construction
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with computers in an engineering environment; knowledge of GIS is an asset
- Bilingual ability is an asset
- Qatar Engineering license (MME/MMUP/UPDA) required
Education
- BS in Engineering
- PE or EIT Certification preferred
