The Opportunity
We are supporting a major global energy operator in their search for a Senior Operations & Maintenance Engineer (Offshore Wind) to support several major offshore wind projects located in German waters. This is a unique opportunity to contribute your technical expertise to large-scale offshore wind development projects during key project phases, while collaborating with a diverse and international team.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering (Pre-Project, FEED & Execution Phases):

Develop key O&M documentation, including philosophies for:
-
Operation & Maintenance
-
Control and SCADA
-
Security
-
Preservation, Commissioning, and Start-Up
-
-
Review and provide constructive comments on technical and design documentation from OEMs, contractors, and internal teams:
-
Safety Concepts, Technical Concepts, P&IDs, SLDs, mechanical and hydraulic drawings, logic diagrams, etc.

Interface documentation between WTG, cables, Balance of Plant (BoP), OSS (outside scope) etc.

Ensure completeness and clarity of O&M documentation, such as:
-
Emergency Response Plans, Evacuation Plans, Black Start Procedures
-
Maintenance programs, Spare Parts lists, Tooling specifications
-
Major Component Repair (MCR) procedures, statutory inspections, and qualifications

Logistics:
-
Prepare technical specifications for:
-
O&M Ports/Bases (North Sea and Baltic)
-
Central Control Room
-
Central Warehousing facilities
-
-
Review specifications issued by external contractors and specialists to ensure compliance with operational needs.
Contract Support:
-
Support preparation and negotiation of key O&M contracts:
-
SOV, CTV (Offshore service vessels)
-
WTG Service & Maintenance Agreements
-
BoP maintenance contracts
-
O&M Port/Base contracts
-

Provide risk assessments and propose acceptable contractual compromises during negotiation phases.

Define and structure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor O&M performance efficiently.
Tools & Systems:

Actively utilise digital tools including:
-
Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, GIS tools, ERP systems, E-sourcing, NEW PRODOM (document management), and other standard industry software.

Work in accordance with internal standards, specifications, and global guidelines.
Candidate Profile
-
Extensive experience in Operations & Maintenance for Offshore Wind Turbines, ideally across multiple farms and turbine technologies (OEM or operator experience highly valued).

In-depth technical understanding of WTG design, maintenance strategies, and offshore wind operations.

Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to coordinate across diverse international teams, vendors, subcontractors, and corporate departments.

Highly organised, capable of formalising technical concepts and instructions clearly.

Proficient in English (French or German language skills would be advantageous).

Strong communication, negotiation, and reporting skills.
Work Pattern / Location Flexibility

50% based in Paris (1 week in office, 1 week remote)

With potential future options:
-
33% Paris-based (1 week in office, 2 weeks remote), OR
-
25% Paris-based (1 week in office, 3 weeks remote), with additional time in Hamburg and home office
