Job Title: Senior Offshore Jacket Engineer
Location: Leatherhead, UK
Work Arrangement: 3 days in the office, 2 days remote
Contract Type: 3 Month Contract, Outside IR35
Start Date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a Technical Advisor for offshore structural engineering; support the lead in preparing engineering deliverables for designated project scope
- Develop design basis, material, and construction specifications
- Independently conduct engineering analyses for operational (in-service), non-operational (loadout, transportation, launch, upending, setdown), and accidental phases (boat impact, earthquake scenarios, pushover)
- Perform detailed design of jacket appurtenances
- Review and validate analyses and calculations produced by others, provide technical guidance, and resolve discrepancies proactively
Requirements:
- Degree in Structural Engineering Design
- Minimum 12 years of experience with excellent technical and practical engineering skills, consistently delivering on quality and schedule
- Advanced proficiency with major offshore structural software tools is essential
- Desirable experience in non-linear FEA using leading industry software
- In-depth knowledge of latest offshore design codes such as ISO 19901, EN 19902, and relevant standards
- Strong multitasking abilities and organizational skills
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
- Comfortable working in an office-based role
