Senior Naval Architect – Floating Systems

JOB PURPOSE
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Naval Architect to play a leading role in the design and engineering of floating offshore systems. This position involves delivering concept and detailed design for major international energy projects, including FPSOs, FLNGs, LNG carriers, and emerging technologies in carbon capture, hydrogen, and offshore renewables.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and review specifications, design briefs, and scopes of work for major engineering packages.

Perform and check hull scantlings, stability analyses, RAOs/QTFs, and mooring design studies.

Ensure floating units such as FPSOs, FLNGs, and LNG carriers comply with class rules and international standards.

Collaborate with internal engineering teams, external contractors, shipyards, and classification societies.

Contribute to bid evaluations and provide engineering solutions for challenging offshore environments.
REQUIREMENTS

Proven experience with offshore floaters (FPSOs, FLNGs, LNG carriers – newbuilds or conversions).

Hands-on expertise in stability checks, hull scantlings, and mooring analysis.

Proficiency with design tools such as SESAM, MOSES, OrcaFlex, and AutoCAD.

Strong knowledge of classification rules and industry standards (IACS, ISO, API, IMO, DNV).
DESIRABLE

Experience in installation analysis for fixed or floating structures.

Understanding of topsides layouts and integration.

Exposure to energy transition projects such as CCUS, hydrogen, or offshore renewables.
