Overview
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Metering Engineer to support the delivery of complex energy infrastructure and facility expansion projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of metering systems used within large-scale industrial facilities.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, the Senior Metering Engineer will provide technical leadership in the development, integration, and verification of metering systems. The role will involve coordinating with engineering, operations, and project teams to ensure reliable measurement systems are implemented to meet operational, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
This position is well suited to professionals with strong experience in flow measurement, instrumentation, and metering systems within oil and gas, petrochemical, process plant, or power generation environments.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement engineering plans for metering systems across major facility development and expansion projects.

Prepare and maintain engineering specifications and standards for metering equipment and instrumentation in line with operational requirements and industry standards.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to ensure metering systems are properly integrated into facility design and engineering deliverables.

Coordinate installation, calibration, and functional testing of metering equipment to ensure measurement accuracy and system reliability.

Conduct inspections and audits of metering systems to confirm compliance with technical, contractual, and regulatory requirements.

Provide technical expertise related to metering equipment performance, integrity, and operational reliability.

Work closely with equipment suppliers and contractors to ensure high quality metering systems are delivered and installed.

Prepare technical documentation including scope of work, specifications, and input to metering related service contracts.

Participate in technical bid evaluations and vendor selection processes related to metering equipment and services.

Support risk assessments and technical reviews to ensure safe and reliable project start-up and operations.

Liaise with relevant regulatory authorities, certification bodies, and external agencies regarding compliance with industry standards.

Monitor developments in metering technologies and recommend improvements to enhance measurement reliability and operational efficiency.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

Minimum of 6 years of experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, process plant, or power generation environments.

At least 4 years of experience specifically focused on flow measurement and metering systems.

Strong knowledge of metering system design, installation, testing, and maintenance.

Familiarity with engineering tools and applications used for flow measurement and metering analysis.

Knowledge of international standards related to flow measurement and metering systems.

Experience preparing technical specifications, scopes of work, and participating in technical evaluations.

Strong understanding of operational integrity, safety practices, and quality requirements within industrial facilities.

Proficient in standard office software applications and familiar with engineering data management tools.

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams and complex project environments.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
