Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a team working on a brownfield EPC/FEED project. This role involves managing mechanical engineering scope, ensuring projects meet high standards of health, safety, environment (HSE), quality, and client satisfaction. The successful candidate will contribute to design, vendor review, technical specifications, and cost control.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage all mechanical engineering aspects including machinery, vessels, and packages.

Prepare technical specifications and review vendor quotations and drawings.

Develop design schemes in line with project requirements.

Ensure compliance with contract conditions and technical standards.

Participate in coordination, progress, and programme/resource meetings.

Monitor and control costs to meet budget and forecasts.

Maintain high standards of HSE and client satisfaction throughout project execution.
Required Experience and Skills:

Significant experience in engineering and contracting on both major and minor projects.

Highly motivated, confident, and able to work both independently and within a team.

Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

Working towards or already holding Chartered Membership of a recognised professional institution.
Desirable:

Experience with process plant engineering.

Extensive experience preparing requisitions for mechanical equipment and packaged plants.

Familiarity with Pressure Equipment Directive, Machinery Directive, and CE marking.

CSCS qualification.
-
Experience in design management roles.
