Job Title: Senior Marine Inspection Coordinator/Specialist
Location: Jutland Skærbæk near Fredericia, Denmark
Client: Leading Global Green Energy Major – Wind
Assignment Length: Initial One Year Contract (Annually Renewable)
Assignment Type: Contractor
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
Remote Work: Minimum 3 days per week on-site, up to 2 days remote

Job Description

  • Coordinate vessel inspections for all vessels entering CLIENT sites, including both direct contractors and subcontractors.

  • Plan and schedule inspections with external vessel inspectors.

  • Provide technical support for vessel inspectors encountering digital access issues or difficulties using the CLIENT vessel inspection app.

  • Act as the maritime liaison between various packages involving vessels entering CLIENT sites.

  • Manage and facilitate communication of vessel information between site management, vessel crews, and external inspectors.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on vessel safety, including investigation and reporting of accidents and incidents.

  • Perform MMSI audits of contractors as needed (preferred).

Competences Required

  • Educational background as a ship officer, naval architect, or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree level).

  • Training or education in maritime law, quality management systems, and auditing.

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a surveyor, superintendent, or comparable role.

  • Strong knowledge of international maritime regulations, classification societies, and port state control regimes.

  • Proficient with digital tools; experience with SharePoint is an advantage.

  • Experience conducting office audits within an Integrated Management System (IMS) is beneficial.
