Senior IT Analyst
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Analyst to support a major program in the financial services sector. This is a full-time assignment based in Finland, starting September 2025 and running until August 2026. The successful candidate will work closely with business and technical stakeholders, helping translate business strategies into robust IT solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and document business strategies, enabling sustainable solutions.
- Elicit and analyse both functional and non-functional requirements across business, technical, and regulatory areas.
- Translate business needs into clear technical requirements for IT teams.
- Ensure requirements traceability throughout the development lifecycle.
- Produce and maintain high-quality requirements documentation, including use cases.
- Support testers and developers with clarification and validation of requirements.
- Verify developed solutions through testing and results review.
- Provide stakeholders with insights on the effectiveness of delivered solutions.
Required Experience and Skills
- Proven background in IT and/or business analysis.
- Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken) and experience in international collaboration.
- Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence.
- Knowledge of API development, data mapping, and process modelling.
- Understanding of the financial services sector, ideally with exposure to payments.
- Practical skills with SQL, user interface prototyping, and design.
- Ability to interpret and work with architecture diagrams (e.g. sequence diagrams).
- Solid technical knowledge for close collaboration with development teams.
- Familiarity with analysis tools and methodologies.
Preferred Experience (Nice to Have)
- Awareness of regulatory requirements in financial services.
- Practical knowledge of REST and SOAP APIs.
- Knowledge of PSD2 and upcoming PSD3/PSR regulations.
