Position Title: Senior Interface Engineer
Location: Qatar
Contract Type: 5-year contract
Work Schedule: Standard full-time (8-10 hours per day, 5 days per week)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Interface Engineer to manage, coordinate, and ensure effective integration across multiple disciplines and project interfaces within major projects. The role ensures engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities are properly aligned and that all internal and cross-functional interfaces are efficiently managed to prevent delays, conflicts, or rework.
The successful candidate will supervise interface activities, liaise with engineering, procurement, project controls, quality, and construction teams, and act as the focal point for resolving interface-related issues. They will monitor interface performance, identify potential risks or bottlenecks, and propose proactive solutions to safeguard project schedules and deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead internal interface activities, coordinating across engineering disciplines, contractors, and internal stakeholders

Identify and define internal interfaces and tie-ins during concept and design phases, ensuring alignment with project execution plans

Conduct regular coordination and follow-up meetings to track progress of internal projects and tie-ins

Monitor execution of internal projects, flagging delays or risks and implementing mitigation actions

Ensure scope related to internal interfaces is clearly understood, planned, and implemented during engineering and construction phases

Collaborate with discipline engineers (process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, civil) to validate and document internal interface points

Monitor critical path activities, identify risks, and coordinate mitigation strategies

Ensure all internal interface activities meet project quality standards, technical specifications, and good engineering practices

Maintain comprehensive documentation of internal interface activities, approvals, tie-in completions, and stakeholder communications

Develop and maintain a Project Internal Interface Register, mapping tie-ins, stakeholders, documentation requirements, and target completion dates

Support lessons learned documentation and risk follow-up according to project procedures
Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline

Professional certification in relevant engineering field preferred

Minimum 10 years’ relevant work experience, with at least 3-5 years in major projects

Strong knowledge of project interface management, engineering integration, and cross-disciplinary coordination
