Overview
We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Control Engineer to join a multidisciplinary project team. The role involves producing detailed instrumentation and control deliverables in alignment with project specifications, schedules, and industry standards. Candidates will collaborate with designers, vendors, and the client to ensure high-quality engineering outputs and smooth project execution.
Key Responsibilities

Review client technical documentation and project requirements

Produce instrumentation and control deliverables as per project specifications and schedules in a cost-effective manner

Develop instrumentation specifications in coordination with packaged equipment requisitioners

Participate in defining supply and service limits, and ensure proper documentation for integration into package orders

Technically evaluate supplier proposals, including PLC, cabling, and instruments
-
Conduct thorough studies of relevant systems to ensure sufficient information is incorporated into design deliverables

Support detailed engineering activities including hook-up installation, layouts, routings, and wiring

Monitor and verify design drawings generated by designers and drafters for accuracy and compliance with good engineering practices

Perform in-house instrument sizing and selection; manage studies performed by subcontractors or vendors

Prepare, update, and review specifications and engineering calculations

Perform technical clarifications, bid clarification meetings, and bid evaluations

Review and approve vendor document deliverables

Attend and actively participate in client and vendor meetings

Apply knowledge of relevant design codes and standards (e.g., ANSI, API, ASME, ASTM, IEC, IOGP, ISA, ISO)

Conduct onshore and offshore site visits as required

Prepare site survey checklists, reports, and other documentation

Interface with other engineering disciplines and project support functions such as procurement and planning

Perform Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) as needed

Assist site construction teams and manage system vendor/integrator and field instrument vendor activities during EPC project execution
Requirements

Degree or Diploma in Instrumentation, Electrical, Control Engineering, or related discipline

Proven experience in instrumentation and control engineering for large-scale projects

Strong knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and industry best practices

Experience in detailed engineering, vendor document review, and on-site support

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment

Excellent communication and coordination skills
