Senior ICS Security Engineer
Location: Onshore, Qatar (Ras Laffan / Doha HQ)
Contract Type: 1-year renewable contract
Schedule: Sunday to Thursday, 8–10 hours per day
Rotation: 12 weeks on / 2 weeks off (Single Status) or 30 days annual leave (Couple Status)

About the Role
A leading energy operator in Qatar is looking for an experienced Senior ICS Security Engineer to join its onshore operations team. This role focuses on implementing and maintaining Industrial Control Systems (ICS) security engineering standards, supporting sustainment activities, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity policies and best practices throughout large-scale operational projects.
You will act as a subject matter expert for ICS security, supporting project delivery, audits, and risk assessments, while driving system integrity and operational readiness across a complex technical environment.
Responsibilities

Implement and maintain ICS Security engineering specifications, procedures, and manuals.

Review and validate system and network architecture designs to ensure compliance with ICS Security standards.

Conduct and participate in risk assessments, technology evaluations, and disaster recovery simulations.

Oversee Factory and Site Acceptance Tests (FAT/SAT) for new systems and upgrades.

Support operational readiness and system handover to ICS Security Operations.

Lead or contribute to incident investigations and root cause analyses.

Provide technical guidance to ICS custodians and technicians on security policies and compliance.

Assist in developing and executing periodic ICS security self-assessments and audits.

Maintain lifecycle management and inventory reviews of ICS assets.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives in ICS Security design and sustainment.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or Computer) or Computer Science.

Minimum 6 years’ experience in oil and gas operations, engineering, or technical roles, with a focus on ICS Security.

Strong understanding of industrial control environments and operational technology (OT) security.

Hands-on experience implementing security controls within ICS or OT networks.

Knowledge of network security, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and other ICS security monitoring tools.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Computer literate and comfortable with technical documentation.
