Job Description
A major green energy organisation is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer for a contract opportunity within the offshore wind sector based in London. This pivotal role will focus on offshore site characterisation and geotechnical analysis, underpinning the development of foundation and subsea cable designs. The successful candidate will interpret in situ and laboratory data, develop integrated ground models, and produce high-quality Geotechnical Interpretation Reports (GIRs). Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including geophysical specialists, will be essential to ensure effective data integration and design input. The position requires adeptness in data validation (including AGS), geotechnical analysis, and multi-task management, alongside strong stakeholder engagement skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Offshore site characterisation and geotechnical data analysis from in situ and lab testing
- Validation and processing of geotechnical data, including AGS data handling
- Preparation of Geotechnical Interpretation Reports
- Providing geotechnical input for foundation and cable design, with awareness of installation constraints and multifaceted engineering interfaces
- Parallel management of varied geotechnical tasks
- Driving results and taking accountability for outputs
- Effective communication and stakeholder management within project teams
- Integrated ground model development in collaboration with geophysical and site characterisation teams
- Interpretation of geotechnical parameters to support design and installation activities
- Analyses and reporting using proprietary software, Python, and/or Excel
- Preparation and QA of geotechnical reports and deliverables
- Planning and scoping of offshore geotechnical site investigations, including deep, shallow, and nearshore techniques
- Drafting detailed scopes for site investigations and performing advanced parameter interpretation

Requirements
- Significant experience in offshore site characterisation and analysis of geotechnical data
- Proven ability with processing, validating (AGS), and interpreting geotechnical data
- Demonstrated experience in writing technical geotechnical reports
- In-depth knowledge of geotechnical requirements for foundation and cable design
- Experience in planning and scoping offshore geotechnical site investigations
- High degree of accountability and the ability to juggle parallel tasks
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent English, both spoken and written
- Results-oriented mindset
