Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Offshore Geotechnical Engineer to support offshore wind projects, with a focus on site characterisation and jack-up installation assessments. The role involves interpreting complex geotechnical data, reviewing leg penetration analyses, and supporting investigations and engineering decisions across the project lifecycle. This is a UK-based position (London, hybrid) offered on a fixed-term contract with potential for extension, working under established QA procedures and digital engineering platforms.
Key Tasks:

Review of leg penetration and spudcan-quay wall interaction analyses provided by consultants

Review of leg penetration analysis and vessel suitability

High-level jack-up installation assessment using in-house tools and methods
Other potential ad-hoc tasks:

Supporting scoping, planning and operations for geotechnical site investigations and laboratory testing

Analysing and interpreting large geotechnical datasets to deliver high-quality site characterisations and engineering soil/rock properties for design and installation assessments

Supporting engineering assessments for jack-up installations

Other tasks aligned with the competencies above and supporting offshore wind farm site characterization and related engineering activities
Requirements:

Proven experience in offshore site characterisation and analyses of in situ data and laboratory test results

In-depth experience with planning, scoping and execution of offshore geotechnical site investigations, including operational and in situ techniques

In-depth experience with Leg Penetration Analyses and engineering assessments applicable to jack-up installations

Proven experience with processing and validating geotechnical data, including AGS data handling and writing Geotechnical Interpretation Reports (GIRs)

Knowledge of geotechnical input required for foundation and cable design, installation constraints, and understanding of interfaces with different engineering teams

High degree of personal responsibility and accountability; capable of working on multiple tasks in parallel

Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills; enjoy working closely with colleagues and project teams

Fluent in spoken and written English
