Job Title: Senior Finance Manager / Deputy CFO
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Role Purpose
Provide professional financial leadership and support across the company and its subsidiaries. Ensure accurate and timely financial transactions, reporting, budgets, and forecasts while maintaining the integrity of financial systems and controls. Support and deputize for the CFO as needed, and lead the finance team to deliver operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management

Prepare management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and annual financial statements on schedule.

Ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of financial transactions (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).

Manage treasury functions including cash forecasting and liquidity.

Oversee annual audits and liaise with external auditors.

Ensure compliance with IFRS and statutory requirements.
Team & Systems Management

Lead, manage, and develop the finance team.

Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and the Finance Manual.

Manage and improve finance systems, ensuring integration with IT platforms.

Monitor internal controls and ensure adherence to accounting procedures.
Business Support

Act as a strategic business partner to budget holders and department heads, providing financial insights.

Develop and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).

Provide financial monitoring for business development and capital projects.

Support CFO in strategic planning, budgeting, and corporate risk management.

Represent CFO in their absence.
Governance & Compliance

Maintain confidentiality of financial data.

Ensure accurate and timely statutory filings and payments.

Promote HSE practices and contribute to compliance and organizational culture.
Qualifications & Experience

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.

Professional accountancy qualification (CA, ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, or equivalent).

5–8 years of relevant finance experience, including 2–3 years in a similar industry (steel or heavy manufacturing preferred).

Project management experience and understanding of business development activities are desirable.
