A leading offshore engineering organisation with extensive experience in delivering complex FPSO and offshore production projects is seeking a Senior Engineer Mechanical Rotating. The company is actively supporting the energy transition by developing advanced and reliable offshore energy solutions for global markets.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Perform rotating equipment selection studies and prepare technical reports for FPSO topsides as part of the Mechanical team
- Develop rotating equipment philosophies, specifications, and data sheets
- Prepare enquiry documentation and purchase requisitions with all required technical attachments
- Conduct technical bid evaluations and provide recommendations for purchase order award
- Manage post-award activities including vendor drawing review, vendor performance monitoring, and participation in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
- Coordinate interfaces with other engineering disciplines and departments including supply chain, quality, and construction
- Participate in technical workshops such as 3D model reviews, HAZOP, human factors, and constructability reviews
- Review mechanical deliverables submitted by contractors and vendors and issue appropriate approval status
- Work with the Rotating Lead to deliver assigned documentation in line with project schedules
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of experience in FPSO or Oil and Gas project design
- Experience in both FEED and Execution phases
- Experience handling major equipment packages such as process gas compressors, gas turbine generators, water injection pumps, and process packages is advantageous
- Yard support, FPSO start-up, and operations support experience is an advantage

- Familiarity with relevant international standards and class requirements
- Proactive with the ability to work independently using a structured and systematic approach
- Strong communication skills and ability to contribute effectively in technical workshops
- Ability to deliver high-quality work within deadlines
- Experience working in multidisciplinary and multinational environments
- Ability to communicate effectively at all organisational levels
