Job Title: Senior Electrical VSD Engineer

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 hours per day
Department: FOPS Maintenance – Electrical
Work Location: Full-time onshore with occasional offshore assignments
Scope of Work
Impactful Work

Take ownership of advanced condition and reliability monitoring for critical offshore equipment to maximise uptime and ensure safe, uninterrupted production
Technical Leadership

Lead maintenance, troubleshooting, rectification, and technical modifications in close collaboration with multidisciplinary onshore/offshore teams and OEMs

Drive digitalisation initiatives, including remote monitoring and condition-based maintenance solutions

Manage the full lifecycle of electrical projects, from conceptual studies and design through to commissioning and start-up

Collaborate with subject matter experts, contribute to global technical guidelines, and participate in major upgrade and improvement campaigns

Field Expertise

Travel offshore to supervise and execute level 4–5 maintenance activities within scope

Participate in maintenance duty rotations as required, ensuring operational excellence and hands-on technical leadership
Background, Qualification, and Experience
Education
-
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or higher
Experience
-
Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar role

Strong exposure to offshore electrical systems

Proven experience with frequency drives / Variable Speed Drives (VSD)
Technical Skills
-
Strong knowledge of IEC standards and internal company rules

Advanced troubleshooting of electrical equipment (surface and downhole)

Experience with VSDs, transformers, UPS, switchboards, and digital monitoring systems
