Overview
An exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Electrical Technician to join an internationally recognized materials technology company in Olen, Belgium. This role is integral to the smooth and safe operation, maintenance, and reliability of the site's electrical distribution networks-including both high and low-voltage systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Share responsibility for the operation of high and low-voltage distribution networks, ensuring a safe and continuous power supply across the Olen site
- Prepare, plan, and execute electrical work, ensuring compliance with safety procedures, legislation, internal standards, and technical regulations
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to detect issues early and prevent downtime
- Supervise and follow-up on work performed by external contractors, ensuring correct execution and safety requirements are met
- Accurately document and register all technical and administrative data related to executed work and observations
- Collaborate closely with colleagues under 4-eye principle to ensure safety during high-voltage tasks
Requirements
Technical Profile
- Technical degree, preferably in electrotechnics
- Proven experience with high-voltage systems
- Proven experience with industrial low-voltage systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics (intake requirement)
- Able to interpret technical documentation in Dutch and English
- Experience in an industrial environment
- Strong documentation skills

- Calm, mature, and structured personality (intake requirement)
- Ability to work independently with initiative, drive, and thoroughness

Methodology & Certification Requirements
- BA4/BA5 (provided internally)
- VCA (mandatory)
- Familiarity with AREI standards
- Familiarity with ATEX standards

- Dutch: fluent (operational requirement)
- English: able to read and understand technical documentation
