About the Role
Join an industry-leading multinational in materials technology at their Olen site, as a Senior Electrical Technician. In this key role, you will contribute to the safe and reliable operation and maintenance of the site's electrical distribution networks, overseeing both high and low-voltage systems that are critical for site safety and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Share responsibility for operating the high and low-voltage distribution network, ensuring uninterrupted and safe power supply.
- Prepare, plan, and execute electrical work, strictly following safety procedures, legislation, internal standards, and technical regulations.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to detect early warnings and minimize downtime.
- Supervise and monitor activities by external contractors, maintaining high standards of safety and execution.
- Accurately document and record all technical and administrative data for executed work and findings.
- Work closely with colleagues during high voltage operations, adhering to the 4-eye principle.
Requirements
Technical
- Technical degree, with a background in electrotechnics preferred.
- Proven experience with high-voltage systems.
- Experience with industrial low-voltage systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics (mandatory).
- Ability to interpret technical documentation in Dutch and English.
- Industrial work environment experience.
- Competence in documenting technical actions and findings.
Non-Technical
- Excellent sense of responsibility and strong safety awareness.
- Calm, mature, and structured approach to work (mandatory).
- Ability to work independently, with initiative and commitment.
- Decisive, results-oriented, and clear communicator.
Certifications/Methodologies
- BA4/BA5 (provided internally)
- VCA certification (mandatory)
- Familiarity with AREI and ATEX regulations
Language
- Dutch: Fluent (operational requirement)
- English: Able to read and understand technical documentation
