Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst (Consultant) to join their General Analytics team in Solna, Sweden. In this role, you will be a hands-on data expert responsible for turning complex datasets into actionable business insights. You will also understand the Sales organization and ask the right questions to understand needs, not just execute tasks but deliver according to requirements.
Responsibilities

Data-Driven Business Insights: Analyze large volumes of business and market data to extract trends and insights, translating these into concrete recommendations for decision-makers

Reporting and Visualization: Deliver regular and ad-hoc business performance reports and dashboards. Build intuitive visualizations in Power BI to track key metrics and illustrate findings for both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, operations) to understand business processes and requirements. Translate business needs into analytical questions and data requirements. Challenge assumptions with an analytical mindset to guide strategy and improve performance

Data Preparation and Modeling: Acquire, clean, and prepare data for analysis from various sources. Develop and maintain robust data models and pipelines (using SQL, Databricks, etc.) to ensure data is ready and reliable for analysis and reporting

Advanced Analytics and Improvement: Use statistical methods and Python-based analysis to identify patterns or anomalies in customer and sales data. Lead data analytics efforts in projects and cross-functional initiatives, ensuring insights are actionable. Continuously seek opportunities to improve analytics processes, tools, and data quality

Recommendations and Follow-through: Proactively suggest new analytics approaches or business opportunities based on data findings. Present insights and recommendations to management in a clear, concise manner, and work with teams to implement data-driven improvements
Required Qualifications and Experience

Extensive Data Analysis Experience: Several years of hands-on experience in a data analyst or business intelligence role. Experience within sales, marketing, or consumer data analytics is a strong plus

Technical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets. Strong programming skills in Python (for data analysis, modeling, automation) – knowledge of data libraries and notebooks is expected

Business Intelligence Tools: Expert user of Power BI (or similar BI tools) for creating dashboards, reports, and data visualizations. Ability to design effective visuals and interactive reports that communicate data clearly

Data Modeling and Databricks: Solid experience in developing data models and data pipelines. Knowledge of Databricks or other cloud-based analytics platforms; comfort working with cloud data architectures and large-scale datasets

Analytical Skills: Strong understanding of statistical analysis and predictive modeling techniques. Able to apply quantitative methods to derive insights (e.g., trend analysis, correlation, forecasting)

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or similar), or equivalent practical experience in data analysis/business intelligence
