Job Description
The Senior Cost and Planning Engineer will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and monitoring of project schedules and budgets. The role includes close coordination with project management teams to ensure cost and schedule objectives are achieved.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain project schedules using industry-standard software.

Develop project cost forecasts and monitor actual costs against budgets.

Identify potential schedule delays or cost overruns and recommend corrective actions.

Provide regular progress reports, dashboards, and performance updates.

Analyse cost trends, performance metrics, and earned value reports.

Support project risk assessments and mitigation planning.

Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure alignment of planning and cost data.

Participate in project review meetings and provide technical input on schedule and cost issues.

Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and best practices in cost control and planning.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (full-time) in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.

Substantial experience in project cost control and planning, preferably within the oil and gas or industrial sector.

Proficient with project management software such as Primavera P6 and MS Project.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
