Overview:
We are currently supporting a globally renowned industrial organisation in the search for a Senior Corporate Paralegal to join their headquarters in Brussels. This is a great opportunity to become a key member of a high-performing legal department, working at the heart of a multinational company’s legal operations.

This role provides broad exposure to both corporate legal and commercial contract work, in a fast-paced environment, supporting global legal teams and collaborating closely with business functions such as Finance, HR, and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Corporate Legal Support:

  • Prepare materials for shareholders’ and board meetings of the listed parent company

  • Assist with corporate actions including dividends, share buybacks, and conversions

  • Draft and manage legal documentation: board minutes, resolutions, powers of attorney

  • Provide support in restructuring, M&A, and finance-related matters

  • Maintain statutory registers and corporate legal databases

  • Liaise with external providers for certifications, legalisations, and translations

  • Manage legal filings and notifications with regulatory bodies (including local registers, gazettes, exchanges, and financial authorities)

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and legal authorities on governance and compliance matters

  • Advise subsidiaries on legal compliance steps and help implement solutions

Commercial Agreements Support:

  • Assist the Western Europe Legal Team in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating:

    • Confidentiality agreements

    • Standard business agreements (sales, warehousing, purchase contracts, T&Cs)

  • Promote the use of group contract templates and best practices

Candidate Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in a law firm, notarial office, public authority, or in-house legal department

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)

  • Bachelor’s degree in legal or paralegal studies

Key Competencies:

  • Strong organisational and analytical skills with great attention to detail

  • Discreet and professional handling of sensitive and confidential matters

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong team spirit with the ability to work independently when needed

Languages:

  • Fluent in English

  • Fluency in French or Dutch is required

  • Fluency in both French and Dutch is an advantage

Additional Information:

  • Minimum 2 days per week onsite in Brussels HQ

  • Greater onsite presence required during the onboarding period

  • Candidates must be legally authorised to work in Belgium; sponsorship may be considered for exceptional profiles

  • No planned holidays during July/August; early September may be negotiable
