Senior Contract Manager - IT
Location: Eindhoven, Netherlands
Duration: ASAP - 30 June 2026 (36 hours per week)
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Contract Manager to strengthen a complex IT environment. You will be responsible for managing and optimising a portfolio of IT contracts and suppliers at both a strategic and tactical level. Acting as the bridge between business, IT, procurement, and suppliers, you will ensure service quality, compliance, and long-term value from external partnerships.
This role requires both operational sharpness and a strong strategic mindset. You'll advise stakeholders, guide tender processes, and contribute to the professionalisation of contract and supplier management practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage IT contracts and supplier relationships at a strategic and tactical level.
- Monitor compliance with contractual obligations (SLAs, KPIs).
- Drive improvement initiatives where supplier performance falls short.
- Advise stakeholders on contract changes, extensions, or renewals.
- Collaborate with procurement colleagues on tenders and new contracts.
- Contribute to the design and optimisation of contract and supplier management processes.
- Facilitate contract governance through reporting, evaluations, and reviews.
- Advise on digitalisation and tooling for contract management.
- Act as a sparring partner for contract owners, service management, and legal teams.
Requirements (Must-Haves)
- Higher professional education or university-level background.
- 5+ years of experience as a (Senior) Contract and/or Supplier Manager in complex IT environments.
- Strong knowledge of IT contracts (software licences, SaaS, infrastructure, cloud).
- Proven experience with strategic supplier management (governance, performance, escalations).
- Familiarity with legal/compliance frameworks (GDPR, DPIA, NIS2, BIO).
- Experience with methodologies such as CATS CM® v4, ITIL, BISL (or similar).
- Strong communicator, analytically sharp, proactive, and politically/organisationally sensitive.
Nice-to-Haves
- Certifications: NEVI 1/2 Public, CATS CM®, IACCM/WorldCC.
- Experience in government or public sector organisations.
- Knowledge of contract management tools.
- Experience with change management and stakeholder management in IT contexts.
