Rotation: Starting January 2026 – 4 weeks site-based (Suriname), 2 weeks remote working, 2 weeks off
Contract Type: Annual Renewable Contract
Start Date: ASAP
Working Arrangement: Full-time

About the Role

We are supporting a global energy operator on a major offshore development project. As the Subsea Controls Engineer, you will join a diverse, experienced team during the pre-FEED and execution phases of this technically complex subsea tieback.

This is a brilliant opportunity to contribute to a long-term international project spanning Europe and South America, offering both challenging scope and exposure to cross-functional engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all activities related to subsea production control systems from design through execution.

  • Manage interfaces between topsides, subsea hardware, and subsea controls.

  • Review engineering documents and ensure technical compliance with project specifications.

  • Support FATs, SITs, and integration testing as required.

  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and vendors to ensure timely delivery of equipment.

  • Provide technical input into risk assessments and system design reviews.

  • Maintain strong communication with project management and operations teams.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in engineering (or equivalent professional experience).

  • Proven track record delivering subsea production control systems within major offshore oil and gas projects.

  • Knowledge of subsea communication protocols, power distribution, and control systems.

  • Experience across the full project lifecycle including FAT, SIT, and commissioning.

  • Excellent organisational and stakeholder coordination skills.

  • Able to operate in a multicultural project environment and communicate effectively in English.
