Job Title: Senior Commissioning Engineer – Rotating Equipment

Job Summary:
A leading energy project is seeking an experienced Senior Commissioning Engineer with a Mechanical Engineering background to support the commissioning of major rotating equipment. This role involves reviewing and approving contractor deliverables, preparing and reviewing specifications, and ensuring technical compliance across FEED and EPIC project phases.
Key Responsibilities:

Commission major rotating machinery including gas compressors, high-voltage motors, medium-voltage submersible pumps, and other critical equipment.

Review and approve contractor deliverables, method statements, inspection and test plans, construction schedules, and technical drawings.

Witness or conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), string tests, and functional performance tests of rotating machinery.

Perform verification activities such as alignment checks, supports, and functional testing of rotating equipment.

Participate in design and constructability reviews, including HAZOP/HAZID and operational readiness assessments.

Support start-up and handover activities to operations teams, ensuring all systems are ready for safe and reliable operation.

Identify potential bottlenecks or issues and propose practical solutions.

Utilise project management and commissioning software tools to track progress and maintain documentation.

Collaborate with multi-discipline teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Extensive experience in FEED and EPIC projects with major rotating equipment.

Proven experience in commissioning, testing, and operational readiness of rotating machinery.

Strong ability to review, interpret, and provide feedback on technical documents and project deliverables.

Hands-on experience with completions management systems or equivalent project tracking software.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively in multi-discipline, multi-cultural project teams.
